Back to basics with some good wholesome fun

We are so excited about adding "The Little Experience" to our gift selection. The Little Experience is an award winning quirky English craft company. They've designed a bunch of sweet and unique craft kits that the kids put together and then call their own.

We absolutely love everything about this company...from the actual toy... to their packaging that is recycled into another fun object (like sunglasses, a chair or a treasure map)... to their mission (to promote quality time between parents and children as an alternative to electronic entertainment). We hope that you'll learn to love them too.

Building Toys + Cars = Automoblox

Automoblox combine children's love for things that go vroooom with building. They're cars that kids can easily put together and play with then take apart and start all over again. They're age-rated 3+ but expect that kids 3-4 years old will need your assistance in putting them together while kids 5+ years will be able to build cars. But even grown-up kids (aka Daddy) will enjoy playing with them because they're so stylized and unusual with their modern wood and plastic design. They're a great gift for kids who love LEGOs, blocks and cars but are ready for a different kind of toy. We have the Originals ($40) and Minis ($13) plus Set of 3 Minis ($32) in pink, blue and yellow.

Have You Heard the Piggy Story?

You have a million crayons and coloring books all over your house but wouldn't it be great for have one compact kit to take wherever you go? Whether it's Grandma's, a restaurant or a waiting room, The Piggy Story offers kits of different sizes and combinations. For example, the most basic Art-to-Go Roll includes eight crayons but has an additional six pockets for mini pencils, or small scissors and conveniently rolls up to stash in your diaper bag or purse. The Art Folio includes and holds 12 crayons, a pad of paper and closes up nicely in a little case that closes with velcro. We just added a refreshing new line of toys and puzzles from KidO, a NYC-based company, to the store. With a focus on learning about counting, colors and shapes, Kid O features wood toys that you probably won't find at other stores. You may recognize their Bilbo, which is a seat, tool, container and whatever else your child can come up with, which we are now carrying, but you'll soon learn to love them for their other toys -- we sure do! When you're looking for a unique birthday gift, Kid O is a super option!
