Featured in New Jersey Life Magazine

We made the editorial cut. Little One & Co. was one of the featured shops in NJ Life Magazine's weekending: Maplewood, NJ. “Maplewood’s a ‘good morning’ type of town — everyone greets you,” says former mayor Ellen Davenport. Now Secretary of the New Jersey Senate, Davenport’s world still centers on Maplewood, where she has lived since 1971 and operated a business for 20 years. “It’s a place where people look out for one another.”

Maplewood, 18 miles from New York, is a suburb, yes, but one with a distinctive urban undercurrent. “We have a lot of artists, journalists, and musicians who moved from Manhattan,” says Amy Koehler, manager of the Maplewood Village Alliance. “The shops reflect this creativity.” Walk down Maplewood Avenue and you’ll be inevitably smitten by mid-century nostalgia, an atmosphere the retailers cultivate. It’s a place where you can feel comfortable allowing your children to explore (there’s a beat police officer on patrol) while you banter with shop owners who routinely wander into each other’s establishments to catch up on the latest news. And everybody has colorful stories to tell — so take the time to listen. full article

Tea Collection's Daily Tea Is In!

Just unpacked our HUGE shipment of Tea Collection's Daily Tea. Daily Tea is Tea Collection's lower priced all-cotton line. We love it because the styles are basic and comfy, the prints are always gorgeous and the price is right. Tea is calling this season's Daily Tea line "artimation." The boy's line is all about robots and robotic-styled animals while the girl's line has a variety of pink, wine and mauve florals.

For layette, we have rompers, bodysuits, tees, leggings, double-sided caps, bibs and blankets. And for girls, we have sweet little dresses! For infant and preschool boys, we have at least six long-sleeve tee styles including the hip faux long-sleeve under the short-sleeve tee look along with coordinating pull-on pants. For infant and preschool girls, we have several choices in tops, tunics and dresses plus coordinating leggings.

Myself Belts!

When we 1st opened the store, we had a handful of folks asking for belts. We thought it would be a rare request and weren't sure if the demand for belts was enough to actually get stock. But the request became more consistent, and we saw there was a need for kids who were tall and skinny and/or were in-between sizes. So, we started looking for something that was cool and easy for the kids to fasten and unfasten themselves. We discovered Myself Belts - they are the most ingenious belts - they attach to the belt loops and are fastened by velcro. Another reason why we love Myself Belts, they were invented by a mom and help promote independence and boosts self-esteem.

Halloween Has Arrived at Little One & Co!

Come check out our new window display featuring four great costume ideas for your little ones!

Here are some of the Great Pretenders costumes and accessories we have available! We chose these specific items because they will translate well into regular every day dress-up so your kids will get a lot of wear out of them.

eeBoo at Little One & Co

eeBoo's puzzles, wall cards, and card and memory games have beautiful artwork and offer something different from the usual licensed products. We especially love how the alphabet cards double as wall art.
Take a look at our latest line of giftables!

KidO at Little One & Co!

We just added a refreshing new line of toys and puzzles from KidO, a NYC-based company, to the store. With a focus on learning about counting, colors and shapes, Kid O features wood toys that you probably won't find at other stores. You may recognize their Bilbo, which is a seat, tool, container and whatever else your child can come up with, which we are now carrying, but you'll soon learn to love them for their other toys -- we sure do! When you're looking for a unique birthday gift, Kid O is a super option!
